Brașov Christmas market prices 2026
Entry to the market in Piața Sfatului is free; this table tracks what the food and drink cost. The 2026 market runs from 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, and we record its prices in the square on opening weekend. Until then, the 2025 and 2024 prices below are the best guide to what to budget.
Dataset updated 22 December 2025
2026 prices: recorded from 27 November
The stalls set their prices when the market opens, so there are no official 2026 prices to publish yet. We will visit on opening weekend (27–29 November 2026), record the price of every item below at several stalls, and update this page and the CSV file. Last year mulled wine cost about 15–20 lei and sarmale about 30 lei; expect similar or slightly higher prices in 2026.

How we record the prices
We track the same basket of food and drink every year, so the seasons stay comparable. From 2026 we record prices ourselves on opening weekend: for each item we note the price at five or more stalls in Piața Sfatului and publish the lowest and highest as a range.
For 2024 and 2025, before we started recording on site, the figures come from dated press reports of the market (linked under Sources); prices those reports give as approximate are marked “about”. Prices are in lei (RON); as a rough guide, 10 lei is about €2. Stalls can change prices during the season, and a range is not a promise.
